Camea Kačinari Jewelry Atelier
Camea Kačinari Jewelry has been shaped by artistry and heritage since 1976, when Pašk Kačinari and his team of master goldsmiths opened their atelier in the heart of Zagreb.
With a strong focus on traditional goldsmithing techniques such as filigree and hand-forging, each piece carries the imprint of artistry, passion, and the tradition passed down through generations.
As the founder, Pašk Kačinari became a pioneer in the jewelry industry and the first goldsmith in the former state to present a jewelry fashion show as part of “Zlatna igla”, organized by the Goldsmiths’ Guild of Zagreb. His innovation, dedication, and unwavering commitment to quality set the foundation for a jewelry house that would, for decades to come, create not only jewelry, but trust and respect among its customers.
In 1998, Vesna Kačinari opened Camea Kačinari Jewelry at Jurisiceva 1. Instead of taking over the original atelier, Vesna established a collaboration with Pašk and his workshop, where all pieces for Camea Kačinari continued to be crafted.
This new jewelry store was founded on the same principles and quality standards established in 1976, with every piece from melting the metal to the final polish created entirely by hand with utmost precision.
To ensure the highest level of craftsmanship, Camea Kačinari continuously invests in modern technology and precision tools, allowing us to elevate the standards of fine jewelry even further.
Over the years, we have become a recognizable name, forging unbreakable bonds with generations of loyal customers both locally and internationally.
In 2016, Vesna Kačinari took over the entire workshop of Pašk Kačinari, continuing the family legacy while bringing new ideas and vision into the craft. This transition made the atelier one of the rare goldsmith businesses in the region fully owned by a woman symbolizing strength, resilience, and the success of female entrepreneurship.
Maja Kačinari is the creative director and manager of Camea Kačinari. After completing her education in commerce, economics, and later design with a focus on fashion styling, she obtained the title of Master Goldsmith. She passed her master exam in 2013, gaining full rights and recognition under the professional law. Her knowledge, experience, and deep love for jewelry design and styling enrich our creative direction and ensure that every piece leaving our studio meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Maja also believes that the jewelry we wear communicates a beautiful, non-verbal message. We anchor emotions into the pieces we choose whether through memories of a loved one who gifted them or as a reward to ourselves for personal achievements.
For this reason, every piece she designs becomes a meaningful object, carrying a story and emotion within it.We are also proud of our external collaborator, Marko Kačinari, who worked in the original atelier of Pašk Kačinari on Ilica 45.
Marko is a Master Goldsmith and certified instructor, a G.I.A. Alumni member, IGI Diamond Program alumnus, Gübelin Coloured Gem Professional, and a De Beers Diamond Foundation member. He passed his master goldsmith exam in 2008, earning full professional rights and recognition under the law.
